The new revelation Quatro Quad
Le Mie impressioni sul QUAD QUATRO.
Nel mio viaggio in Sud Africa ho avuto modo di testare più volte il QUAD QUATRO 75 L in varie condizioni side-on e side-off.
La cosa straordinaria è che appena salito sopra mi sono subito trovato a mio agio,sia nella planata che nei salti che sono la mia specialità,la tavola non ti dà la sensazione di avere quattro pinne sotto.Per non parlare poi delle surfate “in questo caso si,che fa la differenza”,la tavola reagisce bene senza farti nessun scherzo nei momenti più critici della surfata.Gira molto velocemente in un raggio molto ristretto e va molto più verticale del twin.Nei cut back attacchi il lip con molta precisione,infatti alla prima condizione side-off in Sud Africa a Yzerfonte,uno dei più belli spot di quella zona,provandola vi garantisco che alla prima onda che ho preso mi ha dato il risultato che speravo. Iniziando così la giornata con un bel arial.Dopo la session,infatti, ho subito contattato il mio caro amico Nico Salvini importatore Quatro in Italia(Citysurf Tirrenia) per raccontare la grande giornata passata con il Quad. Il fatto interessante è che la combinazione delle pinne che ha sotto,si può giostrare sulla posizione, spostandole avanti o dietro la tavola cambia.
Nelle nostre condizioni italiane,dove l’onda non spinge come quella dell’oceano, il vento soffia quasi sempre side-on,il Quad visto le qualità che ha nell’avere un raggio più ristretto d’azione sia nel bottom che nel cut back,non ti fa perdere velocità sull’onda.
Il Quad ormai ci sta facendo entrare in una nuova dimensione del wave raidig.
